Derek Ingram – National Women’s Team Head Coach

Derek Ingram is a 19-year member of the Canadian PGA and the Head Teaching Professional at the Derek Ingram Golf Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is the cofounder and a coach of the University of Manitoba Golf Program, assists with Golf Manitoba’s Player Development Program and is a facilitator with the Canadian PGA’s Teaching and Coaching Certifications.

In 2003, Ingram was the recipient of the Canadain PGA's prestigious Teacher of the Year and Junior Leader of the Year awards, the first Professional ever to be recognized for both. Derek has been recognized by the National Post as a top 10 Instructor in Canada and as a Top 50 Instructor in North America by Golf Range Magazine. He's won the Manitoba PGA's Teacher of the Year seven times, Player of the Year in 2002, 2003 and 2008 and Head Professional Champion in 2001.

An accomplished player himself, Ingram has coached the RCGA's National Junior Team at the World Junior Team Championships the past five years. Privately, he has coached many of the countries top junior, amateur and professional players and is driven to help players achieve there goals. He is also the co-author of two books on the mental aspects of golf and is putting the finishing touches on his third.

A devoted family man, Ingram is married with two young sons.
