The Team Canada program is focused at further developing the best amateur golfers in Canada to be competitive on the international stage. Selection to the National Squad and the Development Squad takes place in November of each year and is based on objective performance results which are reviewed by the Golf Canada Player Development Selection Committee.

Golf Canada has designed full time programs for both the National Squad and the Development Squad to support the vision of creating the strongest players and program in the world. The program consists of full time coaches, training camps, a full competition schedule and support from Golf Canada sport science consultants in the areas of mental performance coaching, exercise physiology, nutrition, biomechanics, physiotherapy and sports medicine. The objective of the program is to be one of the top three nations developing amateur golfers.
