What You Need to Know
Admissions Gate/ Spectator Entrance
The Spectator Entrance onto the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club during championship week is located on North Bowesville Road. All parking for the championship is located on Breadner Blvd. Shuttles are available from spectator parking (see below) to and from the admissions gate. There is no spectator access through the Hunt Club’s main entrance off of Hunt Club Road.
ABM Machine
An Automatic Bank Machine (ABM) is located in the CN Spectator Village.
Access to Grounds
Passes/credentials must be visible at all times. Please remember, passes/credentials are valid only on the day shown.
Alcoholic Beverage Policy
Beer and wine is available at most concession stands on the course. Alcoholic beverages served inside the Clubhouse, Skyboxes, or Clubhouse Terrace Suite areas are not permitted outside these areas. Under the Liquor License Act, it is strictly prohibited to enter the Clubhouse or Skybox with an alcoholic beverage purchased elsewhere. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on any public bleacher seating.
Autographs
In order to provide a more orderly environment for fans seeking autographs and at the same time helping players avoid distractions while competing in the CN Canadian Women’s Open, autographs are not permitted once a player begins a competitive round Thursday through Sunday. Players may elect to sign autographs prior to or at the completion of their round. ‘Autograph Alley’ located along the fenced player walkway between the 18th green and clubhouse is an excellent location for fans to get their favourite player’s autograph after play. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday also provide a great opportunity to watch and meet the LPGA Tour stars.
Camera Policy
Cameras are only allowed on-site at the course during Practice Rounds, Monday through Wednesday, for personal use only. Cameras are prohibited during the championship rounds, Thursday to Sunday. Camcorders are prohibited on site all week.
Cellular Phones, Blackberry’s & Electronic Devices
Cellular phones are prohibited on site all week. Any cell phone or other electronic device found on the course will be confiscated by security and will be returned only when you are leaving the grounds (at the check stand). Pagers are permitted on vibrate mode only.
Charity
The CN Miracle Match program provides much needed funding for children’s hospitals. Last year CN and the 2007 CN Canadian Women’s Open raised a total of $546,682 (CDN) for the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton. Please visit the CN Miracle Match in the CN Spectator Village in support of The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
Check Stand
The check stand is located at Admissions and will permit spectators to check their personal belongings rather than carry them on the course. All items will be tagged and marked. The check stand is open for one half hour after play is complete. All items, which have not been picked up at this time, will be stored at admissions until the completion of the championship.
Comfort
For your comfort, we suggest you wear rubber-soled shoes, a hat or visor, sunglasses, lightweight and light-coloured clothing and sunscreen. Binoculars, a seat stick, a light rain jacket and small umbrella are also recommended.
Concessions (Food & Beverage)
The main concession areas is located in the CN Spectator Village (between the 16th and 18th holes).
There will be several concession stands on the course that will have food and beverage for purchase. They are located in the following areas:
- Between 10th tee and 14th green
- Behind 13th green
- 7th fairway / behind 4th green
- Adjacent to 3rd hole
- Behind 18th green
Crosswalks
Spectator crosswalks are areas on the golf course where, at the direction of the Marshal Committee, the gallery may cross a particular hole. This will assist spectators in following their favourite players.
First-Aid Stations
The medical headquarters is located in the Curling Pavilion. One satellite first-aid station will be located on site, specifically, beside the CN Spectator Village. All first-aid stations will be staffed with emergency medical technicians. If a medical emergency arises, please notify a CN Canadian Women’s Open volunteer or tournament official.
Bleachers
Bleachers are open to the public on a first-come first served basis. Bleachers will be located at the 1st tee, 15th green, 17th green, 18th green and practice range.
Inclement Weather
Observe the leaderboards throughout the golf course for “Weather Warning” notices that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. When this notice appears, spectators are advised to take precautions prior to play being suspended. If the siren/horn sounds, please proceed to the Park and Ride shuttles at the Spectator Entrance which will take you back to your vehicle. In the event of inclement weather, avoid the following:
- Open areas
- Hilltops/ high places
- Isolated trees
- Golf carts
- Wire fencing
- Sky boxes/bleachers

Information and Messages
If you cannot find the information you need when you are on-site please visit the Information Centre located beside Admissions at the Spectator Entrance or speak with the closest volunteer who will be happy to assist you.
Junior Policy
Children aged 15 and under are permitted free access to the grounds when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Juniors do not have access to the Clubhouse, Skybox, Skybox Table and/or Clubhouse Terrace Suite unless they have appropriate badges for these areas.
Lost & Found
Any lost and found items will be taken to the Information Centre located beside Admissions.
Lost Passes/Credentials
The RCGA is not responsible for lost, stolen or misplaced passes/credentials or parking hangtags.
Lost Persons
Any lost person, including children, will be taken to the Information Centre located beside Admissions.
Merchandise / Souvenirs
All spectators are encouraged to visit the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club pro shop and the merchandise tent located at the CN Spectator Village and next to Admissions for a wide variety of CN Canadian Women’s Open branded merchandise.
Methods of Payment
Cash must be used at all concession and beverage stands on the course. Cash, credit cards, debit cards and traveler cheques are accepted in the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club Pro-shop.
Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted at Admissions for the purchase of daily tickets.
Pairing Sheets
Free pairing sheets are available at the Spectator Entrance. Pairing sheets provide tee times, a map of the course as well as a summary of the previous day’s action.
Park and Ride
Parking is provided at designated parking lots on the Canadian Forces Base off of Uplands Drive at Breadner Blvd at a cost of $5 per car, Monday to Sunday. Once you park your car, proceed to the shuttle pick up/drop off area and board a complimentary shuttle that will take you directly to the Spectator Entrance. Please consult the accompanying link for parking locations and shuttle pick up/drop off locations.
Park and Ride for People with Disabilities
If you require wheelchair transportation please proceed to the Disabled Parking area located off of Breadner Blvd. A wheelchair accessible shuttle will take you directly onto the grounds of the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club. See also Special Assistance.
Parking Hangtags
If you have a parking hangtag or voucher, please follow the map and directions on reverse and/or follow the CN Canadian Women’s Open parking signs to the lot indicated on your parking hangtag or voucher.
Prohibited Items
Please take note of the following items that are prohibited from entering the championship grounds:
- Cell phones, PDA’s Blackberries or pagers (all week)
- Cameras during professional play, Thursday to Sunday
- Video cameras (all week)
- Bags, backpacks or packages larger than 12x12x12 inches
- Radios, TVs signs or banners permitted (all week)
- Coolers- outside food and beverage, with the exception of bottled water, is not allowed on tournament grounds. For your convenience, concession venues are located around the course.
- Bicycles on the golf course. Bicycles must be parked in the assigned area, located by the Spectator Entrance. Please note, this will not be monitored by security- please bring a lock. The bicycle owner assumes all responsibility when parking their bicycle.
- Noise making devices
- Pets (service animals permitted)
- Metal-spiked golf shoes
Any of the above will be confiscated by security and stored at the Check Stand. All items are subject to inspection at the gate.
Play-off
In the event of a tie for first place after 72 holes, a sudden death play-off will take place on the 18th hole and continue on holes 15, 16, 17 and 18 until a winner is declared.

Re-Entry Policy
Spectators wishing to leave the grounds and re-enter must have their hands stamped and their ticket punched by Security personnel working the gate.
Restroom Facilities
Portable restroom facilities will be located in the following areas:
- CN Spectator Village
- 3rd hole
- 7th fairway / behind 4th green
- Behind 13th green
- Behind 14th green
- By the practice greens
Security
A security team consisting of Ottawa Police Service, paid security and volunteers is on hand to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable week.
Shuttles
Shuttles to and from spectator Park and Ride run from 7:00 a.m. to one hour after completion of play each day of the championship.
Souvenir Programs
Complimentary to all ticket holders. Pick yours up at the Spectator Entrance.
Special Assistance
Facilities for people with disabilities are provided. Reserved viewing areas on the 18th green are available for those using wheelchairs or other means of assistance. Wheelchair accessible restroom facilities are provided.
Spectator Entrance
Admissions and gates are open from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday, August 11th to Sunday, August 17th.

Various spectator services are available for visitors:
- Information Centre - located beside Admissions. The Information Centre will offer courtesy phones, lost and found, souvenir programs and pairing sheets.
- CN Family Fun Zone - located at the Spectator Entrance, the CN Family Fun Zone offers CN Future Links giveaways and fun activities for children.
- CN Spectator Village - located between the 16th and 18th holes, the CN Spectator Village is a hub of activity for spectators throughout the week.
- Championship merchandise

Spectator Guidelines
If you observe the following guidelines, your outing at the CN Canadian Women’s Open will be even more enjoyable:
- Your CN Canadian Women’s Open ticket must be displayed at all times
- Please stay behind gallery ropes and cooperate with the Marshals at all times
- Please be considerate of others and kneel or sit if you are in the front row of the gallery
- Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration
- To ensure your safety, at all times, walk carefully, never run
- The CN Canadian Women’s Open is an outdoor event involving substantial walking on grassy hills, dirt paths and other uneven surfaces; please wear appropriate footwear such as sneakers
Starting Times
Starting times for the first two rounds will be available on Wednesday of championship week at www.cncanadianwomensopen.com and www.lpgatour.com. Pairings and start times for Saturday and Sunday will be available one hour after the conclusion of play on Friday and Saturday.
Taxi & Limousine
Spectators should be dropped off at the parking lot at the Canadian Forces Base at Breadner Blvd and take the shuttle bus, which will bring them off to the Spectator Entrance. There are no provisions for a spectator entrance through the front gates of the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club (Hunt Club Road).
Telephones
Courtesy phones are provided at the Information Centre, located beside Admissions for local calls.
Think Green
The CN Canadian Women’s Open recycles! We encourage you to please use our recycle containers, which are positioned throughout the golf course. While walking the course, you’ll notice three types of containers for disposal of your recyclables.
Blue bags and white boxes marked recyclables should be used for plastic bottles, glass and cans. Green bags and white unmarked boxes are for all other waste.
Tickets
Tickets are available at Admissions and can be charged on credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express), cash or debit. Tickets can also be purchased on our ticket page or by calling the RCGA at 1-866-571-LPGA.
Trophy Presentation
The CN Canadian Women’s Open trophy presentation will take place on the 18th green immediately following the close of play on Sunday, August 17th.
Will Call
Will Call is located at the Admissions area. Spectators will be required to utilize the Park and Ride systems to access Will Call at Admissions. Will Call will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during championship week. Please do not leave parking hangtags at Will Call and advise your guests that passes will be filed under their surname.
