- Team Canada’s Head Coach (Men’s) and Canadian PGA Master Professional is first Canadian invited to speak at prestigious annual Aussie tour -

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (RCGA) – Henry Brunton, Head Coach of the Royal Canadian Golf Association’s (RCGA’s) Team Canada men’s squad and CPGA Master Professional, completed a successful tour of Australia as the featured guest presenter of the 2009 Australian PGA Coaching Series.

During a 10-day span, Brunton spoke in Australia’s four state capitols – Perth, Western Australia; Melbourne, Victoria; Brisbane, Queensland; and Sydney, New South Wales - for a full day each discussing the coaching techniques which have made him one of the most sought after golf coaches in the world.

Brunton is the first Canadian who has been invited to speak as part of this annual tour. The past two years have featured Hank Haney – Tiger Wood’s Coach – and short game guru Stan Utley.

Brunton’s keynote presentation, titled Taking Your Game as a Coach to the Next Level, included material from his brand new book Journey to Excellence, The Young Golfers Complete Guide to Achievement and Personal Growth, which details his experiences both as the Canadian National Coach and designing and building his heralded Strive for Excellence program for competitive junior golfers. The program has become a model for coaching junior golfers around the world.

“The 2009 Coaching Series was without doubt, one of the most successful to date and we really appreciate Henry’s contribution to the professional development of our participating members,” said Craig Sharp, National Training Manager for the PGA of Australia. “All seminars were extremely well received and we certainly exceeded our objectives in terms of providing more than 150 members with a range of new ideas, tools and concepts that they will be able to implement. It was refreshing to hear from such a knowledgeable, widely-read professional. Both the RCGA and CPGA are in great hands with Henry on their teams.”

Henry Brunton Golf is headquartered at Eagles Nest G.C. in Maple, Ont. Journey to Excellence is available at all Golf Town stores throughout Canada or may be ordered at www.henrybrunton.com.
