The Golf Fore the Cure program is the largest national grass roots female recreational golf program in Canada. Created to grow women’s participation in the game of golf by introducing them to the game through fun, non-intimidating activities and a unique partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society (and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation in Quebec), has provided us with an attractive leveraging opportunity when approaching clubs to run this event. CN Future Links Girls Club is a community level, membership based, volunteer driven golf program for girls only. Girls’ Club has grown from the premise that more girls would be willing to learn and play golf if the program was developed with their unique needs in mind.

In 2009, there were 50 sites registered in Canada with over 930 girls registered as members. Our goal for 2010 is to have 65 Girls’ Clubs sites across Canada and within three years to have over 1250 girls involved in the game in hopes of life-long enjoyment! Golf Canada offers a number of National Amateur Championships for females

• The Royale Canadian Junior Girls Championships is Canada’s premier event for junior girls (18 and younger). If you are interested in more information on this event click here
• The Royale Cup Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship is Canada’s premier amateur golf tournament featuring Canada’s best amateur golfers. For more information on this event click here
• The Royale Canadian Senior Women’s Championship is Canada’s premier women’s senior tournament featuring Canada’s best senior aged (50+) golfers. For more information on this event click here
